Why I Love and Hate Blogs

Why I Love Blogs
  1. They are perfect for journaling. I don't keep a journal, and I never kept up on my kids' baby books. Blogging makes it easy to keep track of all the cute things your kids do and the fun you have together as a family. I sure hope Blogger never crashes, I really need to find a way to back this stuff up. Any tips/suggestions?
  2. I love that I am able to post about daily life and family and friends that are far away can check in daily.
  3. I like reading about my family and friends.
  4. I enjoy learning things about people that I didn't know. Talents, interests, etc.
  5. I like that blogging involves an equal amount of creativity and technological skills. I'm not crafty and I don't scrapbook (I suck at it). So this makes me feel like I can make something that's not ugly; and I don't have to measure, cut-out, or draw anything.

Why I Hate Blogs

  1. Everyone's life seems so much more interesting than mine on their blog. WAY more interesting. It's depressing.
  2. Sometimes I spend too much time writing silly lists like this one on my blog. Then I feel like haven't accomplished anything. Which is also depressing.
  3. It's annoying when blogs are private and I can't read them because I wasn't invited.

I think that sometimes other people are so interesting too...its one of the perception things. Anyway, I think the Baltzers have lots of fun and I like reading your blog(s)
